Isha Rumi – Beyond Form is a presentation of two ancient texts. The Ishavasya Upanishad and the Masnavi by the Sufi poet Jalaluddin Rumi. It highlights the resonance between the two texts through music, drama, and dance. Eighteen Sanskrit slokas and ten Persian verses are sung by the members of Sunaad. Three actors make the texts accessible to an English speaking audience.

The production is an entwining of Sanskrit slokas of the Ishavasya Upanishad and Persian verses from the Masnavi by Rumi sung to the melodies of Drupad by the classical music group from Bengaluru. The actors brought to life the essence of the composition by their actions.
